SOMETIMES THE ONLY ANSWER PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR WHEN THEY ASK FOR HELP IS THAT THEY WONT HAVE TO FACE THEIR PROBLEM ALONE
What to expect
It is not uncommon if you feel worried about attending counselling and psychotherapy. But one thing is for certain, for it to work you must feel comfortable with the practitioner. This can sometimes take some time to develop and is referred to as the therapeutic relationship. I hope to create a good therapeutic relationship with you and stress that everything discussed will be with confidentiality.
At the first session we will discuss what has brought you to seek counselling and psychotherapy, what your expectations are and how I may be able to help you with them. I will also provide you with the relevant information about my service and the policies/procedures.
Each session will last for 50 minutes, and will usually be weekly although this will depend on the issue/s.
